Moving beyond the concept stage, objective specifications are drawn up which are used to gather feedback from select prospective customers. Adjustments and trade-offs are made to form and function of the product and architectural alternatives are explored on a cost and preformance basis. During this process the estimated production and testing costs are being updated to reflect changes in the product as well as changes in the manufacturing environment. Reliability and test considerations are made throught the development process.
